Our Performing & Visual Arts programs provide an array of opportunities for creative expression.
With an outstanding reputation, our Drama program develops students’ dramatic skills in acting, design, script writing, directing and lighting/sound.
With a professional and fully equipped theatre as their classroom, students enjoy an authentic theatrical experience staging multiple performances each year, enjoyed by capacity audiences.
Complementing this, our extra-curricular program offers a whole school production culminating in a public performance over two nights, and school holiday drama workshops open to all year levels.
Our exciting Visual Arts program responds to the need for innovation and creativity in society. It aims to get our students ‘future-ready’ to interpret our image-saturated world, offering fundamental skills in visual literacy, equipping them with the skills, tools and ability to communicate visually.
We love finding a passion for art in every student; even those that don’t consider themselves to be artistic. Our dedicated visual art centre not only accommodates traditional art genres, but also art technology. This includes disciplines such as photography and graphic design, using the latest equipment.

Our very popular Art Club is offered as an extra-curricular option. The Art Club engages our young artists in meaningful, collaborative and exciting art projects.
Dance at Immanuel is part of our extra-curricular offering, and is predominantly hip-hop based dance. Our Senior and Middle School Dance teams regularly train and compete in local dance competitions. Performance opportunities such as the Immanuel Showcase at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre are also highlights of the course.
Our highly regarded Music program combines practical, technology and theoretical studies, and numerous extra-curricular ensembles encompassing strings, woodwind, brass, rhythm section, piano, voice and electronica. Our students are encouraged to learn from the past but find their own sound or sing their own song. The music program equips young artists with the necessary skills to launch a career in the music industry.
