Year 11s knit for people in need
This term, Year 11 students have been supporting the charity Fred’s Van by knitting scarves, blankets and beanies for those that have to bear the brunt of winter without shelter, or warmth.
We are honoured to present Fred’s Van with 62 scarves, 4 blankets and 17 beanies, which is an amazing achievement and everyone who participated should be very proud.
It’s a great pleasure to see the hundreds of hours that we’ve put into these scarves being devoted to service, and to people that need extra support, through Fred’s Van. As winter is coming up, and the nights get even colder, helping these people stay warm is even more important. Covid-19 has left even more people under an emotional and financial strain, meaning this help was all the more required.
Well done everyone!
