Learning

This is the path I choose …

Immanuel College offers a very broad offering of subjects and educational opportunities for students from Year 7 to Year 12. The College seeks to provide the opportunity for all students to pursue the pathway of their choosing. To this end, the College not only provides a broad and wide-ranging Middle School curriculum with the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program framework, but also provides, on campus, an extensive choice of SACE subjects at Year 11 and Year 12. Students are able to access further SACE subjects through external providers.

The College is known also for its strong take-up of VET programs. We work closely with students to try and tailor learning programs that allow them to follow particular pathways or interests. There are wide-ranging supports, provisions, opportunities and activities for individual students within the following well-established programs: Gifted and Talented Education (GATE), Adaptive Education, and Indigenous Education.

Our students come from diverse localities – local students and boarders from rural, remote and international areas – and from diverse backgrounds, including substantial international, Indigenous and local Greek-background student groups. This adds to the richness of our community and also informs our decisions about curriculum provision and needs. A substantial portion of our students will pursue tertiary education pathways, but a number also pursue trade, industry and workforce pathways.
